INGREDIENTS

  • 800 grams, ram meat
  • 1 ONGA Ginger, Onion & Garlic
  • 2 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup spring onions. chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 2 scotch bonnet pepper
  • 1 ONGA Classic
  • 2 large ripe plantain
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil
  • Fresh thyme
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 1 large yellow bell pepper
  • 1 large green bell pepper
  • METHOD

    1. Wash and clean ram meat, set aside in a strainer
    2. Place ram meat in a cooking Pot add onions, thyme, spring onions, Onga GOG and Salt to taste
    3. Add water to the same level as the ram and cook for about 15 - 20 minutes
    4. Peel and cut the plantain into 'cube-like' pieces, season with a pinch of salt and fry till golden brown
    5. Take out the cooked meat and fry till brown
    6. Remove from Oil and set aside
    7. Using the same oil, add and fry pepper mix for approximately 10 minutes
    8. Add thyme, season with Onga classic and salt accordingly
    9. Finally, add the fried ram meat, the fried plantain, and the diced bell peppers.
    10. Stir together, and leave to simmer for 3 to 5 minutes
    11. Serve and enjoy
