IMOYO SAUCE

Learn how to make this tasty Imoyo sauce. Imoyo is a local delicacy from Badagry, Lagos. It's made with fresh peppers and tomatoes. Imoyo is a healthy meal as it's filled with nutrients from omega3 fatty acid packed mackerel fish. It also contains lots of manganese and magnesium from fresh tomatoes. INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Smoked Mackarel Fishes
  • 5 Scotch Bonnet Pepper
  • 6 Tomatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Tbs Vegetable Oil
  • 1 ONGA Chicken Cube
  • METHOD

    1. First separate the roasted fish, remove the guts and bones
    2. Chop the onions and blend the pepper and tomatoes roughly
    3. Put the separated fish in a bowl, add the blended pepper and chopped onions
    4. Put in a cube of Onga chicken and some salt to taste
    5. Add a tablespoon of groundnut oil, combine well and the meal is ready to be served with Eko
