NAIJA FRIED CHICKEN

INGREDIENTS

  • 2kg Chicken Parts
  • 1 large Onion
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves, Crushed in halves
  • 1 large Ginger
  • 1 large Carrot
  • 2 Chilli Pepper
  • 2 Sprigs Onions
  • 2 Sprigs Rosemary
  • 5 Sprigs Fresh Thyme
  • Salt
  • 1 sachet, Onga Chicken Powder
  • 1 sachet, Onga Curry Powder
  • 1 medium, Green Pepper
  • 3 cups, Water
  • METHOD

    1. Place the chicken in a large pot.
    2. Put the rest of the ingredients in the pot along with the chicken
    3. Put enough water in the pot to cover the chicken. Cover, bring to a boil. Reduce heat when the chicken is cooked.
    4. Remove the chicken from stock and let cool.
    5. You can either fry the chicken, grill or eat as it is
    6. Finely strain the vegetables and herbs out of your stock.
    7. Use stock immediately, refrigerate up to one week or freeze for up to 3 months
