INGREDIENTS

  • FOR MARINADE
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 ONGA beef cube
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 800 grams ram meat, cubed
  • FOR KEBAB
  • 3 bell peppers (1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow) cut into 1 1/4-inch pieces
  • 1 large red onion diced into chunks (about 1 1/4-inch)
  • 10 wooden skewer sticks soaked in water for at least 30 minutes.
  • METHOD

    1. In a mixing bowl whisk together all marinade ingredients.
    2. Throw in the ram meat and massage thoroughly
    3. Transfer to the refrigerator and allow to marinate for at least 2 hours.
    4. Preheat a grill or grilling pan over medium-high heat
    5. To assemble kebabs, layer ram meat and veggies onto skewer in desired order, work to fit 4 meat pieces onto each kebab
    6. Brush pan or grill lightly with oil
    7. Place kebabs on grill or pan and watch out for medium doneness, keep turning kebabs occasionally, about 8 - 9 minutes on both sides
    8. Serve warm
